NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending December 5th. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches. 

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Kyle Bauer, Forward, Rochester Grizzlies

Grizzlies forward, Kyle Bauer, continues to lead the team in scoring after adding 7 points last week. The Hastings, MN native started the month of December adding two goals helping the Grizzlies shutout Milwaukee Power, 3-0. On Friday, Bauer added two points (1G, 1A) in a 7-1 victory over St. Louis. In game two on Saturday against the Jr. Blues, Bauer added two goals and handed out an assist helping Rochester to a 5-2 win. Rochester is undefeated three games into the month and sits atop of the Central Division with a 22-1-1- record with 45 points.

East Division Star of the Week: Donovan Alfama, Goalie, New Jersey Titans

New Jersey Titans netminder, Donovan Alfama, opened up the month playing lights out in between the pipes earning two wins. The Titans took on the Norwich Sea Captains, winning 5-2 where Alfama stopped 32 of the 34 shots he faced. Alfama returned to the net on Sunday where he earned his first shutout of the year stopping 39 shots he faced in a 3-0 win against the Long Beach Sharks.

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Luke Schleusner, Forward, Butte Cobras

Butte Cobra forward, Luke Schleusner, started off the new month adding 9 points (5G, 4A) in three games. In a midweek showdown against the Americans, Schleusner passed out two assists in a 5-3 loss. The Mountlake Terrace, WA native added a goal and two assists on Friday in a 7-4 final against the Yellowstone Quake. The Cobras, with the help of Schleusner, bounced back to take a 9-1 against Yellowstone where Luke scored four goals. Schleusner has totaled 36 points on the season (18G, 18A) and is tied for 17th in the NA3HL in scoring.

South Division Star of the Week: Kaleb Miller, Forward, Atlanta Capitals

Kaleb Miller has been outstanding this season for the Atlanta Capitals. Over the past three games, the Traverse City, MI native totaled six points (3G, 3A). In a three game stint with the Louisiana Drillers, the Capitals finished the weekend 2-1. In Friday’s game, Miller had two goals and an assist, followed by Saturday's game with a goal, and finishing up Sunday with two assists. Miller leads the Capitals in scoring with 22 points (11G, 11A). 

2nd Star: Keegan McArthur, G, Texas Brahmas

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Tyler Moore, D, Texas Brahmas – Anthony O’Neal, F, Atlanta Capitals
 

West Division Star of the Week: Jack Campion, Forward, Mason City Toros

Mason City Toros forward, Jack Campion, added seven points (3G, 5A) in two games. On Friday in a 12-2 win over the Minnesota Loons, Campion, a Crystal, MN native, added two goals and two assists. In night two against the Loons, Campion handed out three assists helping the Toros earn a sweep winning 8-0. Campion is ranked fourth in the NA3HL in scoring with a season total of 47 points (19G, 28A).
