Milwaukee Power announce coaching change

December 8, 2021

The Milwaukee Power of the NA3HL have announced the team has relieved Head Coach, Stephen Esau of his coaching duties.

VP Hockey Operations/General Manager Kevin Marion will serve as interim Head Coach. John Mitchell will remain as Assistant Coach.

“Accountability is one of the four pillars of strength inside our Power organization. A change was necessary in order to hold this entire team accountable for their performance in the first half of the season,” said Chase Ernst, CEO/President of Local Hockey Partners. “I am confident with the change our players will see we are fully committed to finishing this season strong. Our expectation over our last 23 games is to play outstanding hockey and find ourselves in post season play."

VP Hockey Operations/General Manager Kevin Marion stated, “Stephen is a good man who lives and breathes hockey. Our team however needed a breath of fresh air, and it was time to make this change.  We wish him nothing but the best and thank him for his dedication to the Milwaukee Power.”
