Friday Finals: Bradshaw leads Cobras to road win

Luke Robertson had two goals to help the Mason City Toros come from behind to defeat and sweep the Alexandria Blizzard.

Butte 5 @ Great Falls 2 – Nick Bradshaw had a hat-trick, which included his 30th goal of the season, to lead the Cobras to a 5-2 road win in Great Falls. The two teams traded a pair of goals to remain tied at 2-2 after two periods, as Bradshaw and Luke Schleusner scored for Butte, while Tyler Sunagel and Jackson Henningsgard scored for the Americans. In the 3rd period, Bradshaw scored twice and David Hanny also scored to complete the win. Cobras goalie Caleb Cross made 69 saves in the win, while Will Simpson made 34 saves in the loss.

Helena 6 @ Badlands 3 – The Bighorns got two goals apiece from Liam Bland and Adam Harvey as they doubled up the Sabres, 6-3. Harvey opened the scoring in the 1st period, which also included a goal from Trace Taranto. Helena blew the game open in the 2nd period with three goals, including two from Bland and another from Harvey. Gavyn Galloway added a 3rd period goal. Badlands got goals from Carter Johnson, Carter Merritt, and Mason Martin. Dylan Romanow made 25 saves in the win, while Maxim Currie made 41 saves in the loss.

Mason City 4 @ Alexandria 3 – The Toros erased a 3-1 deficit with three goals in the 3rd period to come from behind to defeat the Blizzard, 4-3 to complete a weekend road sweep. Alexandria led 3-1 after two periods thanks to three goals in the 2nd period from Ethan Moerke, Matt McIntyre, and Kaden Peterson, while Luke Robertson scored for the Toros. In the 3rd period, the Toros got goals from Sota Isogai, Jordan Newpower, and another from Robertson to complete the comeback. Erik Shaffe made 50 saves in the win, while Bailey Rosch made 28 saves in the loss.

Gillette 6 @ Sheridan 3 – The Wild got two goals and an assist from Sky Solig in a 6-3 win over the Hawks on Friday. After an opening goal from Sheridan’s Parker Norling, the Wild took a 3-1 lead thanks to two goals from Solig and another from Brock Trboyevich. The Hawks tried to keep pace in the 2nd period with goals from Reid Hojan and Mason Friedricks, but the Wild pulled away with goals from Saizha Norwegian, Zack Slinger, and Tristan Baker. Bob Allport made 21 saves in the win, while Patric Loeffler made 65 saves in the loss.
