NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending February 14, 2022. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches. 

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Jared Wisely, Forward, Peoria Mustangs

Peoria Mustangs forward Jared Wisely earned this week's Central Division Star of the Week recording 5 points in two games. In the Mustangs weekend sweep over the Oregon Tradesmen, Wisely added two goals and three assists in the two contests. The Chillicothe, IL native has played in 39 games this season while combining 10 goals and 37 assists for 47 points.

East Division Star of the Week: Ayden Frolik, Forward, Northeast Generals

Northeast Generals forward Ayden Frolik combined for 9 points in the three games he appeared in. On a Wednesday night beating of the Bay State Bobcats, Frolik added 2 assists in the Generals 6-3 win. In Friday’s second showdown of the week against Bay State, Frolik had a 5 point night, scoring twice and adding three assists in a 8-0 shutout. The scoring for Frolik continued with a battle against the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks on Saturday where the Flower Mound, TX native added two assists in the Generals 5-2 win. Frolik has played in 32 games this season and has recorded 18 points (7G, 11A).

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Edvin Falkenstrom, Goalie, Yellowstone Quake

Yellowstone Quake Goaltender Edvin Falkenstrom picked up two wins over the weekend to earn this week’s Frontier Division Star of the Week. In a two game weekend series and sweep of the Great Falls Americans, Falkenstrom appeared in both games. In night one, the Valbo, Sweden native earned his first shutout of the season stopping all 71 shots he faced in a 2-0 final. In the second showdown against the Americans, Falkenstrom picked up his second win of the weekend stopping 61 of the 64 shots he faced in a 4-3 victory. In those two games Edvin faced a total of 135 shots and stopped 132 of them. This season, Falkenstrom has played in 13 games with a 6-7 record with a combined GAA of 3.04 and a SV% of .938.

South Division Star of the Week: Vincent Anderson, Forward, Oklahoma City Ice Hawks

Oklahoma City Ice Hawks forward Vincent Anderson recorded 7 points in the three games he appeared in last week. The Pontiac, MI native recorded a goal in all three games he was in while adding four assists. This season, Anderson has appeared in 38 NA3HL games between the Bay State Bobcats (9GP) and the Oklahoma City Ice Hawks (29). In those 38 games he has accounted for 37 points with 13 goals and 24 assists.

West Division Star of the Week: Brett Reed, Forward, Granite City Lumberjacks

Granite City Lumberjacks forward Brett Reed collected 9 points in the two games he appeared in. In a Lumberjacks weekend sweep over the St. Louis Jr. Blues, Reed scored a hat-trick and added 6 assists. On top of the 9 points, Reed was a +9 on the ice combined in those two games. This year the Crosslake, MN native has played in 37 games scoring 22 goals and 22 assists for a total of 44 points. 

2nd Star: Hayden Walters, F, Granite City Lumberjacks
