RoadRunners forward Ketterman makes NCAA commitment

February 22, 2022

Texas RoadRunners forward Jaron Ketterman played in the 2021 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.

The Texas RoadRunners of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward and captain Jaron Ketterman has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Concordia University-Wisconsin.

Ketterman, 20, is in his second season with the Runners and serves as this season’s captain. The 5’11/170 lbs. native of Palmer, AK, is 2nd in team scoring so far this season with 48 points (19 goals, 29 assists) in 36 games played to date.

Overall in two NA3HL seasons, he has appeared in 60 games and recorded 60 points.

He was also selected to and played in the 2021 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament, where he had four points in two games played.

“I'm very excited to play at CUW.  Growing up I always wanted to play college hockey along with getting a good education.  I felt this was a great match for both schooling and continuing my hockey career.  When Coach Horton extended the commitment to become a Falcon I had to control my emotions for a few minutes before accepting.  I am very excited to get on with my next step in life, but we have unfinished business at hand to tend to first,” stated Ketterman, on his commitment to Concordia.

“Jaron possesses the key attributes of what Concordia Falcon Hockey represents.  He will contribute to building the culture and tradition of excellence both on and off the ice.  We are very excited to welcome him to the Concordia family and look forward to next season,” stated Concordia's HC Bill Horton.

"Jaron is a great kid that works hard and flat out earned this opportunity through his determination and work ethic both on and off the ice.  We are all very happy that a member of our RoadRunner family will be off to his next step in life with Concordia,” added RoadRunners Coach Mike Beavis.

The RoadRunners would also like to mention that assistant coach Caleb Fitzpatrick played a part in this achievement working with Nate Eminger assistant coach with CUW during the process.  Great job to everyone involved as well as the process of playing a huge part in the ladder of development that is the NA3HL.
