NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending March 6, 2022. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches. 

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Zach Wiese, Goaltender, Rochester Grizzlies

Rochester Grizzlies netminder Zach Wiese earned the Central Division Star of the Week after his outstanding performance between the pipes. In both of the games he appeared in last week, the Owatonna, MN native picked up two wins, one of which an 18 shot shutout. In those two games, Wiese faced 37 shots, only allowing one, for a combined 1.00 GAA and a .973 SV%. Wiese finished the NA3HL regular season with a 20-2-1-1 record, a 1.70 GAA and a .927 SV% which earned him the fourth spot in the league amongst all goaltenders.

East Division Star of the Week: Nolan Murphy, Forward, Northeast Generals

Northeast Generals forward Nolan Murphy combined for 6 points in the four games appeared in. The Hyde Park, MA native added four goals and two assists in those contests. Murphy played in 44 regular season games where he totalled 51 points (30G, 21A). 

2nd Star: Matt Nuzzolilo, F, Northeast Generals

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Blake Nerney, Forward, Great Falls Americans

Great Falls Americans forward Blake Nerney was awarded the Frontier Division Star of the Week after totalling 6 points in two games. The St. Louis, MO native scored two goals and added four assists. This season Nerney has played in 14 games and has totalled 8 points.

South Division Star of the Week: Robby Rabroker, Forward, Oklahoma City Ice Hawks

Oklahoma City Ice Hawks forward Robby Rabroker put up big numbers in the four games he played in to earn the South Division Star of the Week. Rabroker, a Dallas, TX native, recorded a five goal game and added five assists throughout the four games he appeared in. The Ice Hawks forward finished the regular season with 46 games played totalling an outstanding 92 points (44G, 48) which leads the NA3HL amongst all scorers.

West Division Star of the Week: Ben Luedtke, Forward, Willmar WarHawks

Willmar WarHawks forward Ben Luedtke totalled 7 points in the 4 games he appeared in to take the title as West Division Star of the Week. The Wayzata, MN native scored 1 goal and handed out 6 assists. Luedtke finished the regular season with 40 games played totalling 47 points (18G, 29A).
