Milwaukee defenseman Ausmus makes NCAA commitment
Mason Ausmus played in both the 2022 and 2021 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournaments.
The Milwaukee Power of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Assistant Captain Mason Ausmus has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Lawrence University in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA).

"I was excited to get him on a tender after watching him with Meijer u18 in AAA. You can't teach his skating ability; you can't teach his dedication or focus on community involvement...Lawrence University is getting a complete player. Congratulations Mason on earning this well-deserved opportunity and thank you.”
The 6’2/185 lbs. native of Saline, MI played two seasons with the Milwaukee Power in the NA3HL. He led the team with 46 points in the 2021-22 season in 42 games played with 13 goals and 33 assists.
Overall in 78 career NA3HL games, Ausmus recorded 65 points.
He was also selected to and played in both the 2022 and 2021 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournaments, where he had two points in four total games.

Prior to playing junior hockey, Ausmus played in the NAPHL for the Meijer AAA 18U team during the 2019-20 season. He also made his NAHL debut that season with the Jamestown Rebels.
