Wiilmar promote White as next Head Coach and GM

The Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL are proud to announce the hiring of Connor White as the team’s next Head Coach and GM of Hockey Operations for the 2022-23 season.

White is from upstate New York and is familiar with the town and organization in Willmar as he has served as the Assistant Coach during the 2020-21 season, assisting in the teams first ever playoff win and playoff series win.

He then earned himself the Associate Head Coach title during the WarHawks most successful regular season in 2021-22. Prior to his time in Wilmar, White has coached at several levels including High School, NAHL, NCAA Div. III, and ECHL.

White began his coaching career in 2012-13 coaching with the South Glens Falls Bulldogs who then became and are now known as the Adirondack Rivermen. Following his 3 years coaching at the high school level came his opportunity to serve as the video coach and hockey operations assistant with the ECHL’s Adirondack Thunder during the 2015-2016 season. Morrisville State College (NCAA Div. III) then took him on to become the Assistant Coach the next 3 seasons. Where he lead the responsibilities of recruiting incoming players from the junior hockey ranks. He then joined the Chippewa Steel (NAHL) out of Chippewa Falls, WI as the assistant coach for the 2019-2020 season.

“I’m very excited to take on the role as Head Coach of the Willmar WarHawks, continuing to strengthen the successful reputation that has been built over the last couple of seasons,” said White.

The Willmar WarHawks will begin a search for an assistant coach.
