El Paso, Milwaukee, Long Beach complete Sunday sweeps

Milwaukee forward Gavin Reidy had three points in a 9-1 win on Sunday.

Mid Cities 2 @ El Paso 10 – Payne Pent and Marc LaFrance each scored twice and Trey Erramouspe had six points as the Rhinos completed a three-game sweep of the Stars thanks to a 10-2 win on Sunday. It was all Rhinos from the opening face-off, which included two goals from Pent in the 1st period along with goals from LaFrance, Erramouspe, and Carson Doyle. Andrew Swartz, Tyler Dunkel, and Mike Sobaski added goals in the 2nd period and Miles Berg and LaFrance scored in the 3rd period. Ilnur Madiarov and Dakota Brandom scored for the Stars. Phillip O’Neill made 16 saves in the win.

Milwaukee 9 @ St. Louis 1 – Bryce Garber, DJ Gooley, and Patrick Toomey each scored twice as the Power kept pace with the Central leaders thanks to a 9-1 over St. Louis, which also completed a weekend sweep. Luke Nemeth, Jacob Renbarger, and Toomey scored in the 1st period. Gooley added two goals in the 2nd period and Toomey also netted his second goal in the middle frame along with goals from Garber and Gavin Reidy.  Garber would complete the scoring barrage in the 3rd with with his second goal of the game. Matthew Mahoney had the lone Jr. Blues goal. Adam Prokop made 22 saves in the win.

Long Beach 3 @ Danbury 0 – Ryo Murakami stopped all 21 shots that came his way for his first shutout of the season as the Sharks blanked Danbury on Sunday, 3-0. Long Beach scored twice in the 1st period to take a 2-0 lead on goals from Matus Fialka and Walker Montgomery. Gabe Hopkins added a 3rd period goal to complete the scoring. Danbury goalie Ryan Maguire made 44 saves in the loss.

TX Brahmas 5 @ Louisiana 1 – Michael Imala had two goals and an assist to lead the Brahmas to their second straight win in Louisiana thanks to a 5-1 triumph on Sunday. The Brahmas controlled things from the start as a goal from David Juul made it 1-0 in the 1st period. Goals from Imala, Alexander Cagan, and Luke Artukovich made it 4-0 in the 2nd period. Imala would add his second of the game in the 3rd period to make it 5-0. The Drillers lone goal came from Thomas Mougin late in the 3rd period. Riley Gorman made 25 saves in the in, while Nic Clark made 41 saves in the loss.

Atlanta 6 @ New Mexico 3 – Capitals goalie Coleman Garnier made 37 saves and forward Nick Jameus had a five-point game as Atlanta took two of three games in New Mexico thanks to a 6-3 win on Sunday. Ben Parker have Atlanta a 1-0 lead in the 1st period. New Mexico tied the game early in the 2nd period on a goal from Evan Axell. The Capitals then rattled off three straight goals from Nick Mumford, Marcus Bornowski, and Jameus. The Capitals then put the game out of reach with 3rd period goals from Jameus and Joe McLaughlin. Jo Kawagishi and Ryan Kerr had the other goals for New Mexico.
