NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending November 20, 2022. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches. 

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Ethan Chesney, Forward, Peoria Mustangs

Ethan Chesney tallied 7 points in two games to earn the Central Division Star of the Week. In a two-game series with St. Louis, the Elgin, IL native added 5 assists in one game then followed up the next night adding a goal and an assist. This season, Chesney has appeared in 18 games and has totaled 33 points with 12 goals and 21 assists. Chesney leads the Mustangs in scoring with those 33 points and is also 8th amongst all scorers in the NA3HL. 

2nd Star: Jordan Larkee, F, Oregon Tradesmen

East Division Star of the Week: Mac Reed, Defenseman, Northeast Generals

Northeast Generals defenseman Mac Reed totaled 4 points in two games. The Madison, WI blue-liner added 3 assists in a win against Danbury then added a goal in a showdown with Norwich. This season the defenseman has played in 20 games where he has notched 21 points with 4 goals and 17 assists and is currently 7th in scoring amongst all NA3HL defenders. 

2nd Star: Zac Kretzschmer, F, Long Beach Sharks

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Ryan McKenna, Forward, Sheridan Hawks

Sheridan forward Ryan McKenna had an outstanding two game showing as he totaled 6 points. In a weekend sweep over the Badlands Sabres, McKenna recorded 3 points in each night starting off with a goal and two assists followed by a 2 goal and 1 assist night. The Spokane, WA native has played in 20 games this season and has added 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points. McKenna is tied for first in scoring so far this season for the Hawks and is 7th in the NA3HL in scoring.

South Division Star of the Week: Payne Pent, Forward, El Paso Rhinos

El Paso forward Payne Pent totaled 6 points in 3 games over the week. The Parker, CO native added an assist in one game then totaled 5 points in another game with 2 goals and 3 assists. Pent has appeared in 20 games this season and has recorded 29 points with 14 goals and 15 assists. Pent also leads the Rhinos in scoring with those 29 points.

West Division Star of the Week: Ashton Collings, Forward, Alexandria Blizzard

Alexandria Blizzard forward Ashton Collings lit up the scoresheet totaling 4 points in just one game played. The Williston, ND native added back-to-back goals and handed out two helpers in a Blizzard’s 4-1 win over the West’s top ranked Granite City Lumberjacks. Collings has appeared in 14 games this season and has totaled 11 points with 3 goals and 8 assists.
