The Cincinnati Thunder of the NA3HL have announced that they have agreed to an affiliation agreement with the NAHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights.
“We are very excited for our new partnership with Wilkes-Barre. Members of our ownership group have visited them and their facility and were blown away with their program and their commitment to hockey and to developing young players. We couldn’t be happier to be associated with such a great program. As an NAHL organization they are just in their infancy, we can’t wait to see how their program grows over the coming years,” said Thunder Head Coach and General Manager Ryan Colville.
“We are proud of what we are doing here in Cincinnati and the direction we are headed. We believe this is another step to becoming the junior hockey program we envisioned.”
“We are extremely excited to enter into a working arrangement with the Cincinnati Thunder organization,” said Knights Director of Hockey Operations Kerry Huffman. “We have had some exceptionally positive meetings between the staffs and we know we share the same vision and goals to help develop hockey players and move them on to the highest levels. We have some good events being planned for the upcoming spring and summer and know that this relationship will be beneficial for both clubs.”
