Nordiques defenseman Chauvin makes NCAA commitment

The L/A Nordiques of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Top Prospects defenseman JP Chauvin has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for New England College.
Chauvin, 20, was a standout defenseman for the Nordiques totaling 133 points in 88 regular season games in the past two seasons in the NA3HL.
The 5’11/185 lbs. native of Massena, New York, was named to the All-NA3HL 3rd Team, as well as, the All-Coastal Division Team in 2018-19. He ranked 2nd among all NA3HL defensemen in scoring with 83 points (20 goals, 63 assists) during the 2018-19 season. He was named the NA3HL’s Defenseman of the Month in September.
Chauvin led the Nordiques to the 2019 Fraser Cup Championship Game, where they fell to the Texas Brahmas by a 2-1 score. He was named to the All-Tournament team.
Chauvin was also selected to and played in the past two NA3HL Top Prospects Tournaments in both 2018 and 2019.
He is the third Nordiques player who has committed to an NCAA school this season.
