St. Louis forward Baginski makes NCAA commitment

May 31, 2019
The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Will Baginski has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for King’s College. The Monarchs, located in Wilkes-Barre, PA, play in the UCHC.

The 5’11/180 lbs. native of St. Louis, Missouri, was one of the Jr. Blues’ most dangerous forwards over the past two seasons. In 59 career regular-season games, Baginski found the back of the net 34 times, adding 57 assists and finishing with a career plus-minus rating of +65.

This past season, Baginski was 2nd in team scoring with 58 points in 40 games played.

Baginski, 20, also made an impact in the post-season, including seven points (4 goals, 3 assists) in the Jr. Blues’ 2018 run to the Fraser Cup Final.

Baginski played nine career games in the NAHL during his junior career, which included stints with the Austin Bruins and the Lone Star Brahmas.

“Will has the potential to be an impactful player at the collegiate level,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher. “We wish him the best of luck as he pursues a college degree while playing the great sport of hockey.”

Baginski becomes the sixth Jr. Blues player to make a college commitment this off-season, and the fifth to commit to an NCAA school.
