Former Wisconsin defenseman Hefty makes NCAA commitment

The Wisconsin Whalers formerly of the NA3HL have announced that Top Prospects defenseman Luke Hefty has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Concordia University in Wisconsin.
Hefty, 20, just completed his third and final season playing in the NA3HL, which has all been spent with the Whalers. The 5’11/170 lbs. native of Oregon, Wisconsin, had his best career season in 2018-19, recording 49 points (8 goals, 41 assists) in 47 games played, which ranked 3rd on the team in scoring.
Hefty was also selected to and played in the 2019 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Central Division team where he recorded one assist in three games.
Hefty also played in the 2018 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.
During his three-year NA3HL career, Hefty played in 116 career games and recorded 77 points.
