The Butte Cobras of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that goaltender Karl Zodda has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Chatham University.
Zodda, 21, just completed his first and only season in the NA3HL with the Cobras in 2018-19. The 6’2/185 lbs. native of Lehi, Utah, posted a 2-21-3 record in 26 games played to go along with a 5.29 goals against average and a .920 save percentage.
Zodda was honored as the NA3HL’s Frontier Division Star of the week for the week of February 14th as he faced a stunning 202 shots in back-to-back games and stopped an unheard of 94 and 96 pucks in each respective contest. Zodda kept his team somewhat within striking distance in both contests, suffering 5-2 and 7-2 defeats despite seeing a whopping 101 shots in each tilt.
He is the first player from the Butta Cobras 2018-19 team who has made an NCAA commitment.
