Drillers edge Capitals in OT on Monday night

Atlanta 5 @ Louisiana 6 (OT) – In the third game of a three-game set, the Louisiana Drillers came from behind to edge the Atlanta Capitals, 6-5 in overtime in the lone NA3HL game on Monday night.
Louisiana led 2-1 after one period thanks to goals from Blake Siewertsen and Ivan Matveev. Matt Macumber scored the lone goal for Atlanta.
In the 2nd period, each team scored twice as the Drillers took a 4-3 lead into intermission with two goals from Grant Griffin, while the Capitals got goals from Lucas Crawford and Andrei Rusakov.
In the 3rd period, the Capitals stormed into the lead with goals from Ryan Berke and another from Crawford for his second goal of the night. With under four minutes remaining in regulation, the Drillers tied the game on a goal from Zach Smith.
Just over halfway into the overtime, the game-winner came off the stick of Viacheslav Nilov.
Drillers goalie Grady Reis made 31 saves in the win, while Capitals goalie Noah Ping made 32 saves in the loss.
