December 6, 2019
The Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that goaltender Lukas Haugen has been called upon to join the USHL’s Waterloo Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks starting goaltender, Logan Stein, has been selected to play for the United States in the World Junior A Challenge.
It’s quite an opportunity for Haugen, 19, who joined the Warhawks on November 7th, and has appeared in three games so far during the 2019-20 season.
The 6’5/185 lbs. native of Excelsior, Minnesota has a record of 1-1-1 with the WarHawks this season, with a shootout win against Alexandria and a 1-0 OT loss against one of the league’s top teams in Granite City.
He has recorded a .949 save percentage and a 2.21 goals against average, and has been solid helping backstop the Warhawks.
