February 6, 2020
The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that goaltender Will Oliver has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the Wentworth Institute of Technology, The Leopards, from Boston, MA, play in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
Oliver, 20, has done quite well between the pipes since joining his hometown team in October. In 14 games, the 6’2/185 lbs. native of St. Louis, Missouri, has posted a 8-5-0 record with a 2.30 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage. His most recent start was arguably his finest of the season, as he stopped all 48 shots in a shutout against rival Peoria.
“Will has been a big addition to our team this year,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher. “He’s a strong, smart goalie with great fundamentals. We’re incredibly proud of his commitment to Wentworth and wish him the best of luck in Boston.”
Oliver joins Clayton Dawe (SUNY-Fredonia) as Jr. Blues players who have made college commitments this year.
