Sunday Wrap-Up: Solimando's big night leads to Jr. Blues sweep

Connor Lefkof scored both game-winning goals this weekend to help the Danbury Colonials extend their winning streak to four straight games.

Milwaukee Power 0 @ St. Louis Jr. Blues 7 - Thanks to a hat trick from Joey Solimando the St. Louis Jr. Blues dominated at home against the Milwaukee Power, 7-0. The Jr. Blues put up two points in the 1st from Valentin Tarasenko and Joey Solimando. In the 2nd the Jr. Blues added three to their lead with goals from Clayton Dawe, Solimando, and Jacob Wiethaupt. The Jr. Blues scored twice in the 3rd with a shot from Sean Hofstetter and one from Solimando to complete a hat trick. Jr. Blues goalie William Oliver made 22 saves in the shutout while Joey Greilich of the Power made 72 of 79. 
 
New England Knights 4 @ Danbury Colonials 5 (OT) - Thanks to an overtime goal from Connor Lefkof, the Danbury Colonials won at home against the New England Knights, 5-4. Max Burum of the Knights scored in the 1st, answered by a goal from Misha Mshar of the Colonials. The Knights scored again with a shot from Devon Butler before Cole Madzey of the Colonials could score. In the 2nd period the Colonials put up two more points from Kyle McEnany and Nate Mastrony. The Knights came back in the 3rd with two goals from Butler and Brendan Thomas-Heayden to tie the game. Connor Lefkof of the Colonials scored in overtime to win the game. Goalie Shane O’Brien of the Colonials made 38 of 42 saves while Zach Roncarati of the Knights made 33 of 38. 
 
Texas Brahmas 3 @ Atlanta Capitals 2 (OT) - The Texas Brahmas won against the Atlanta Capitals, 3-2. In the 1st period Jack Cooper of the Brahmas scored followed by a goal from Kirill Nikulichev of the Capitals. The Brahmas scored again early in the 3rd with a goal from Leevi Selanne only for Andrei Ruskov of the Capitals to tie the game. The Brahmas won in overtime with a shot from Gabe Potyk just :22 in. Brahmas goalie Kayden Hargraves made 22 saves of 24 in the win while Capitals goalie Gunnar Snyder made 33 of 36 in the loss. 
 
Skylands Kings 2 @ L/A Nordiques 6 - The Skylands Kings lost to the L/A Nordiques, 6-2. The Nordiques took an early lead with four goals in the 1st from Jackson Vercellono, Bryce Leger, Sam Frechette, and Ben Salam. The only goal of the 2nd came from Thomas Hoffman of the Kings. In the 3rd period Kings forward Dylan Dinzik scored only to be answered by two goals from Vercellono and Leger of the Nordiques. Goalie Brogan MacDonald of the Nordiques made 28 saves of 30 in the win while Alex Allison of the Kings made 35 of 41 in the loss. 
 
Breezy Point North Stars 4 @ Willmar WarHawks 5 - The Willmar WarHawks won at home against the Breezy Point North Stars, 5-4. The WarHawks managed two goals in the 1st from Brandon Holt and Mason Wiebusch before Garrett Freeman of the North Stars could score. In the 2nd Freeman of the North Stars scored only to be answered by a goal from Robin Praetz of the WarHawks, which was followed by a goal from Laauli Tosi of the North Stars. Jake Santarelli of the WarHawks scored before Freeman of the North Stars could tie the game. In the 3rd the WarHawks took the lead with a goal from Wiebusch. WarHawks goalie Luke Weberg made 17 saves of 21 while North Stars goalie Jake Sumner made 62 of 67.
