The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending February 16, 2020. The divisional stars of the week are awards given each week of the regular season to the top-performing players in each of the six divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.

Central Division Star of the Week: Chase Mason, F, Peoria Mustangs

Entering the week with just one goal in his first 11 games with Peoria, Mason posted a remarkable breakout weekend with eight points in two games against Milwaukee. A goal and two helpers on Saturday paved the way to his first multi-goal game on Sunday, as he nabbed a pair and a stunning three assists for back to back games with at least three points.

With 2g, 2a on Saturday and one more of each on Sunday, Bankauskas is showing no signs of slowing down his relentless scoring pace. Bagging three goals across the weekend set, Bankauskas now sits just eight strikes shy of Misha Akatnov’s all-time mark of 67 goals in one season, set last year by the former Missoula forward.

He potted his sixth hat-trick of the season in Friday’s contest, adding two assists for good measure. Saturday saw more of the same, as McKay put up a goal and three helpers — marking the second time this season he has posted four or more points in consecutive outings.
