Brandon Connett had five goals in a win on Saturday and has recorded 18 points in his last four games to help Alexandria close in on a playoff spot in the West Division.

Danbury Colonials 6 @ Long Beach Sharks 2 - Thanks to a hat trick from Brandon Cope the Danbury Colonials defeated the Long Beach Sharks, 6-2. In the 1st the Sharks got on the board with a goal from Teddy Valenti before Brandon Cope of the Colonials could score. Samwise Geida of the Sharks scored in the 2nd before the Colonials put up four goals, two each from Kyle McEnany and Cope. The only goal of the 3rd came from Colonials defenceman Maverik Skeans. Goalie Alex Fernandes of the Colonials made 27 saves of 29 in the win while Sharks goalie Timothy Brillaud made 27 of 33 in the loss.
 
Milwaukee Power 1 @ Alexandria Blizzard 13 - Thanks to a five goals from Brandon Connett the Alexandria Blizzard dominated against the Milwaukee Power, 13-1. Brandon Connett of the Blizzard scored in the 1st before Wesley Knutson could get the Power on the board, only to be answered by a goal from Carter Rieland of the Blizzard. In the 2nd the Blizzard added six to their lead with a hat trick from Connett and goals from Alex Heidenreich, Rieland, and Cole Lehmann. The Blizzard stayed ahead in the 3rd with goals from Ryne Mohrman, Cole Jacobs, Derek Dropik, Connett, and Dylan Carlson. Blizzard goalie Bailey Rosch made 21 saves of 22 while Power goalies Joey Greilich made 30 of 36 and Zach Piehl made 21 of 28. 
 
Yellowstone Quake 2 @ Sheridan Hawks 1 (SO) - Thanks to a shootout goal from Brock Risdon the Yellowstone Quake won against the Sheridan Hawks, 2-1. The only goal of the 1st came from forward Jack Harris of the Quake. In the 3rd the only goal came from Blake Billings of the Hawks to force overtime. In the shootout Jack Harris of the Quake made the first goal, followed by a goal from Jacob Cummings of the Hawks. Brock Risdon made the final goal of the shootout for the Quake. Goalie Michael Allman of the Quake made 55 saves of 56 in the win while Hawks goalies Luke Fundator made 8 of 9 and James Downie made 39 of 39. 
 
Bozeman Icedogs 0 @ Great Falls Americans 1 - Thanks to a shutout from Viktor Wennberg the Great Falls Americans won against the Bozeman Icedogs, 1-0. The only goal of the game came from Jack Olson of the Americans at 13:50 into the 1st. Americans goalie Viktor Wennberg made 29 saves in the shutout while Icedogs goalie Conan Hayton made 48 saves of 47. 
 
Helena Bighorns 2 @ Missoula Junior Bruins 5 - The Missoula Junior Bruins won at home against the Helena Bighorns, 5-2. Alexander Bailey of the Bighorns scored the only goal of the 1st. In the 2nd the Junior Bruins came back with three goals from Mi-Kwan Tallman, Cayce Balk, and Billy Lucas. Connor Frye of the Junior Bruins scored in the 3rd, followed by a goal from Gavgn Galloway of the Bighorns, only to be answered by a goal from Henry Morrison of the Junior Bruins. Goalie Seth Daniel of the Junior Bruins made 45 saves of 47 in the win while Ethan Racz of the Bighorns made 25 of 29 in the loss.
 
Northeast Generals 13 @ Skylands Kings 4 - The Northeast Generals won against the Skylands Kings, 13-4. In the 1st period the Generals took the lead with six goals from Kolye Bankauskas, Preston Phelps, Stephen Gerbis, Samuel Rychvalsky, Ryan Reifler, and Nicholas Wracker before James Clarke of the Kings could score. The Generals kept their lead in the 2nd with one goal from Jeffery Sidoit and four from Carson Asper. The Kings managed two goals in the 3rd from Trevor Christopher and Trevor Souza before Wracker of the Generals could score. The Kings added another goal from J Meyers before Tami Merilainen of the Generals could score. Goalie Justin Simmons of the Generals made 15 saves of 19 in the win while Kings goalies Jacob King made 39 of 48 and Andrew Herms made 14 of 18 in the loss. 
 
New England Knights 4 @ L/A Nordiques 10 - The L/A Nordiques won at home against the New England Knights, 10-4. The Nordiques started strong with three goals from Sam Frechette, Will Fletcher, and Michael Keller before Nolan Murphy of the Knights could score. Tyler Larson added another to the Nordiques lead before the end of the 1st. In the 2nd period Jackson Vercellono scored for the Nordiques, answered by a goal from Kyle Madigan of the Knights, which was followed by goals from Keller and Bradley McMains of the Nordiques. Nordiques forward Fletcher scored in the 3rd before Mitchell Shulman of the Knights could score. Vercellono of the Nordiques scored again, followed by a goal from Jake Willis of the Knights, only to be answered by a goal from Joe Clark of the Nordiques with just :25 left in the game. Nordiques goalie Jason St. Pierre made 23 saves of 27 while Knights goalies Patrick Gribbin made 12 of 14 and Zach Roncarati made 25 of 33. 
 
Maine Wild 4 @ New England Stars 7 - The New England Stars won at home against the Maine Wild, 7-4. In the 1st period the Stars put up three points from Jon Natale, Josh Boyd, and Anthony Viola before Andrew Bertolini could get the Wild on the board. The Stars added four to their lead in the 2nd with goals from Boyd, Luke Church, Joe Gagnon, and Natale with AJ Albanese of the Wild scoring with just :34 left in the period. In the 3rd the Wild put up two points from Gavin Dempsey and Bertolini. Stars goalie Cam Carpenter made 27 saves of 31 while Wild goalie Keenan Gamache made 26 of 33.
 
Louisiana Drillers 0 @ Atlanta Capitals 6 - Thanks to a shutout from Patrick Egdorf the Atlanta Capitals won against the Louisiana Drillers, 6-0. In the 1st Andrei Ruskov of the Capitals scored twice. The Capitals stayed ahead in the 2nd with two goals from Joey Allegrini and Nikita Pecheritcyn. In the 3rd the Capitals put up two more points from David Helpap and Allegrini. Capitals goalie Patrick Egdorf made 32 saves in the shutout while Chirs O’Shaughnessy of the Drillers made 26 saves of 32. 
 
Willmar WarHawks 3 @ Peoria Mustangs 4 - The Peoria Mustangs won against the Willmar WarHawks, 4-3. Nick Foldesi of the WarHawks scored early in the 1st only to be followed by goals from Jaycob Bland, Zachary Eddington, and George Giese of the Mustangs. In the 2nd period the WarHawks put up two points from Marquez Ginger and Jake Santarelli. The only goal of the 3rd came from Jared Wisely of the Mustangs. Goalie Jaden Gardner of the Mustangs made 10 saves of 13 in the win while Luke Weberg of the WarHawks made 23 of 27 in the loss.
