Friday Finals: Bozeman claims Frontier regular season title

Mid Cities Jr. Stars goalie Noah Kinsinger made 33 saves in a 4-1 win on Friday, helping the Stars clinch the final playoff spot in the South Division.

Sheridan Hawks 3 @ Bozeman Icedogs 4  - The Bozeman Icedogs claimed the Frontier Division regular season title with a win at home against the Sheridan Hawks, 4-3. The only goal of the 1st came from Icedogs forward Cooper Walsh. In the 2nd Stepan Ruta of the Hawks scored only to be answered by a goal from Hazen McKay of the Icedogs. Jacob Cummings of the Hawks scored before the end of the period. McKay scored for the Icedogs again before Logan Syrup of the Hawks could tie it up, only for Luke McKay of the Icedogs to score with :15 left. Goalie Conan Hayton of the Icedogs made 36 saves of 39 in the win while James Downie of the Hawks made 26 of 30 in the loss.
 
Atlanta Capitals 1 @ Mid Cities Jr. Stars 4 - The Mid Cities Jr. Stars clinched the South Division’s final playoff spot with a 4-1 win against the Atlanta Capitals. In the 2nd the Jr. Stars managed two goals from Brandon Speights and RJ Muckensturm before Andrei Rusakov of the Capitals could score, only to be answered by a goal from Remy Kesling of the Jr. Stars with :12 left in the period. The only goal of the 3rd period came from Jr. Stars forward Zach Russel. Goalie Noah Kinsinger of the Jr. Stars made 33 saves of 34 while Capitals goalies Patrick Egdorf made 25 of 27 and Noah Ping made 7 of 9. 
 
Butte Cobras 5 @ Helena Bighorns 8 - Thanks to a hat trick from Darren Donovan the Helena Bighorns defeated the Butte Cobras, 8-5. In the 1st the Bighorns got on the board with a goal from Darren Donovan before Ty Stovin of the Cobras could score, only to be answered by three more goals from Blaine Krona, Donovan, and Porter Tirrill of the Bighorns. The Bighorns managed three goals in the 2nd, two from Dylan Ferreira and one from Donovan before Robin Bagley could score for the Cobras. Donovan scored again for the Bighorns before the end of the period. The Cobras put up two points in the 3rd from Nick Bradshaw and Phillip Winter. Bighorns goalie Kevin Tauntman made 42 saves of 47 in the win while Danny Fielding of the Cobras made 63 of 71 in the loss.
 
Gillette Wild 5 @ Yellowstone Quake 8 - Thanks to a hat trick from Dylan Rumpke the Yellowstone Quake defeated the Gillette Wild, 8-5. The Quake took the lead in the 1st with two goals from Jon Green and Will Yates. In the 2nd the Quake added to their lead with five goals, two from Dylan Rumpke and one each from Jack Harris, Green, and Will Sobaski before Keedin Denny and Declan Young of the Wild could score. In the 3rd the Wild managed two goals from Denny and Nathaniel Fanning before Rumpke of the Quake could complete a hat trick. Fanning managed to score for the Wild with :43 left in the game. Quake goalie made 58 saves of 63 while Wild goalies Shane Phillips made 31 of 36 and Brad Muzzarelli made 5 of 8. 
 
Great Falls Americans 1 @ Missoula Junior Bruins 0 - Thanks to a shutout from Trever Mellen the Great Falls Americans won against the Missoula Junior Bruins, 1-0. The only goal of the game came from Americans forward Levi Mese 2:37 into the 3rd. Goalie Trever Mellen of the Americans made 19 saves in the shutout while Seth Daniel of the Junior Bruins made 31 saves of 32. 
 
Texas Brahmas 4 @ Texas RoadRunners 0 - Thanks to a shutout from Kayden Hargraves the Texas Brahmas defeated the Texas RoadRunners, 4-0. The only goal of the 1st came from Parker Mara of the Brahmas. In the 2nd period Brahmas forward Tyler Blanchard scored. The Brahmas kept their lead in the 3rd with two goals from Cory Scull and Jack Cooper. Brahmas goalie Kayden Hargraves made 20 saves in the shutout while RoadRunners goalie Cole Garver made 43 of 47. 
 
Granite City Lumberjacks 1 @ St. Louis Jr. Blues 6 - The St. Louis Jr. Blues won at home against the Granite City Lumberjacks, 6-1. In the 1st the Lumberjacks got on the board with a goal from Blake Spetz. The Jr. Blues came back in the 2nd with five goals from Seamus Campbell, Brogan Rumpf, Evan Ross, Sean Hofstetter, and Pavep Kopytin. In the 3rd the Jr. Blues added to their lead with another goal from Hofstetter. Goalie William Oliver of the Jr. Blues made 28 saves of 29 in the win while Bailey Huber of the Lumberjacks made 31 of 37 in the loss. 
 
New Ulm Steel 5 @ Alexandria Blizzard 4 (OT) - Thanks to an overtime goal from Stanislav Danaev the New Ulm Steel defeated the Alexandria Blizzard, 5-4, which extended New Ulm's winning streak to 15 straight games. The Steel got on the board in the 1st with a goal from Joey Gimberlin. In the 2nd the Wesley Johnson of the Blizzard scored only to be followed by two goals from Mason Enright and Keshaun Scott of the Steel, the Blizzard answered with two more goals from Carter Rieland and Derek Dropik before the end of the period. The Steel managed a goal in the 3rd from Stanislav Danaev before Rieldand of the Blizzard could tie the game. Danaev of the Steel scored 2:10 into overtime to win the game. Steel goalie Igor Samokhvalov made 34 of 38 saves in the win while Blizzard goalie Ville Hyttinen made 28 of 33 in the loss. 
 
Peoria Mustangs 3 @ North Iowa Bulls 5 - The North Iowa Bulls won against the Peoria Mustangs, 5-3. Jaycob Bland of the Mustangs scored in the 1st before the Bulls could put up three points from Jordan Roo, Carter Wagner, and Lucas Wahlin. In the 2nd the Bulls added two to their lead with goals from Wagner and Cam Fagerlee. The Mustangs put up two in the 3rd from George Giese and Zachary Eddington. Bulls goalie Evan Babekuhl made 28 saves out of 31 while Mustangs goalies Cole Walter made 13 of 18 and Jaden Gardner mad 7. 
 
Coulee Region Chill 5 @ Wausau RiverWolves 3 - The Coulee Region Chill traveled to defeat the Wausau RiverWolves, 5-3. The Chill got on the board early in the 1st with a goal from Gadel Khismatullin which was followed by a goal from Robert Carlson of the RiverWolves. Brennan Mason of the Chill scored soon after only to be answered by a goal from Ian Raddatz of the RiverWolves. In the 2nd period the Chill took the lead with three goals from Brendan Fehlig, Joey Wiczek, and Jack Summer. The only goal of the 3rd came from Mitchel Idalski of the RiverWolves. Chill goalie Michael Janke made 34 saves of 37 in the win while Tyler Klatt of the RiverWolves made 34 of 39 in the loss. 
 
Danbury Colonials 4 @ Skylands Kings 6 - The Skylands Kings won at home against the Danbury Colonials, 6-4. In the 1st the Kings managed a goal from Jonathan Meyers before the Colonials could score twice with goals from Kolby Donovan and Kevin Remson, only to be answered by a goal from Khole Hibbert of the Kings. Sean Kenny and James Clarke scored for the Kings before Remson could score for the Colonials. Kenny scored again for the Kings with :01 left in the period. In the 3rd the Cole Madzey of the Colonials scored before Clarke of the Kings.  Goalie Tyler Robertson of the Kings made 37 saves of 41 while Shane O’Brien of the Colonials made 37 of 42.
