Atlanta forward Cyprian signs NAHL tender

June 30, 2021

Nick Cyprian played in the 2021 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.

The Atlanta Capitals of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Nick Cyprian has signed an NAHL tender agreement  with the Corpus Christi IceRays of the NAHL’s South Division.

Cyprian, 19, had a breakout rookie season in the NA3HL in 2020-21. The 5’8/160 lbs. native of Aledo, TX, led the Capitals in scoring this past season with 59 points (28 goals, 31 assists) in 36 games played.

Cyprian was also selected to and played in the 2021 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for Team Bauer, where he recorded two points in two games played.

Cyprian is a ladder of development success story, having played previously in the NAPHL for the Dallas Blackhawks Elite 16U team during the 2017-18 season.

Prior to playing junior hockey in the NA3HL, Cyprian spent two seasons playing prep school hockey for Avon Old Farms.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which includes one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
