Peoria forward Giese makes NCAA commitment
The Peoria Mustangs of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that veteran forward George Giese has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Nichols College.
Giese, 20, just completed his second and final season playing junior hockey in the NA3HL for the Mustangs. The 6’5/210 lbs. native of Highland Park, IL, tied for 5th in team scoring during the 2020-21 season, recording 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 38 games played.
During his rookie season in 2019-20, Giese posted 35 points (15 goals, 20 assists) in 45 games played.
Overall in his two seasons in the NA3HL, Giese appeared in 83 career games and recorded 62 points.
He is the third player from the Mustangs 2020-21 team who has made a college commitment.
