Bobcats and Brahmas win on Thursday
Bay State 7 @ New Jersey 3 – Bay State forward Nate Mastrony had a career night, recording a hat-trick and adding three assists in a 7-3 win on Thursday. Landon Boothe also had a hat-trick in the Bobcats win. Boothe scored the first three goals for the Bobcats, as they were tied with the Titans at 3-3 after two periods with Robert Sherman, Brian Lupo, and Owen Luik scoring for New Jersey. In the 3rd period, the Bobcats took control, scoring four goals, which included three in a row from Mastrony and one from Ian Skinner. Ben Di Fiore made 42 saves in the win, while Donovan Alfama made 27 saves in the loss.
Louisiana 1 @ TX Brahmas 9 – Blake Rothstein had a hat-trick as the Brahmas cruised to a 9-1 home win over the Drillers on Thursday. The Brahmas opened up a 2-0 lead in the 1st period with goals from Rothstein and Ethan Kochanny. In the 2nd period, the lead swelled to 7-0 with five more goal from Texas, including two more from Rothstein and others from Keegan McArthur, Jeremiah Snyder, and Elijah Roofe. Erik Vrkoc and Benjamin Mondou would add goals in the 3rd period to make it 9-0. The lone Drillers goal came from Jack Lambert late in the 3rd period. Brahmas goalie Dolan Gilbert made 25 saves in the win, while Pavel Grishin and Brandon Keeney each made 19 saves in the loss.
