Alexandria forward Whitmore makes NCAA commitment

The Alexandria Blizzard of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Jack Whitmore has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Hamline University in St. Paul, MN.
Whitmore, a 5’11/170 lbs. native of Parker, Colorado arrived in Alexandria in January and scored 16 points (six goals and ten assists) in just 13 games played.
In the Fraser Cup Playoffs, he had eight points (four goals and four assists).
Hamline has a pair of Alexandria Blizzard alums on its roster, Mathias Branton and Dallas Duckson.
Prior to playing for Alexandria in the NA3HL, Whitmore spent two years in the NAHL. He made his junior hockey debut in the NAHL during the 2020-21 season with the New Mexico Ice Wolves, recording six points in 30 games played.
During the 2021-22 season, he played in six games for the Ice Wolves and 27 games for the St. Cloud Norsemen.
He began the 2022-23 season with St. Cloud in the NAHL, appearing in five games.
Hamline has won five regular season and two playoffs MIAC titles. The most regular season title came in the 2010-11 season, while its most recent playoff title came in 2015. Hamline had a 13-11-1 (6-10 MIAC) record in the 2022-23 season and placed eighth in the conference out of nine teams.
