The Midland University men's hockey team has announced that Twin City Steel and NA3HL forward Evan Anderson has signed his official letter of intent toplay for the Warriors next fall. Anderson, a native of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, will be part of Midland's inaugural season on the ice in 2014-15.
"Evan is a defenseman I saw play early in the season and he has improved all season long," said Midland Head Coach Jason Cirone. "He is a great moving defensive player that skates well, and his physical play will allow us to set the tone for how we will play in our own zone."
Anderson, who attends Grand Rapids High School, played with the Twin City Steel where he was named Assistant Captain during his senior season. Last year he scored a pair of goals and recorded four assists while playing in 41 games.
"As soon as I stepped on campus at Midland, I felt really welcomed and knew it was the place for me," Anderson said about visiting and signing with the team.
Evan will be a part of Midland's class of 2014 in the fall.
