January 21, 2015

The North American 3 Eastern Hockey League (NAHL) today announced the Offensive and Defensive Stars of the Week presented by Easton Hockey for the week ending January 18, 2015. The Stars of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2014-15 regular season that honors the top performing players, both offensively and defensively.
This week’s Stars of the Week were selected based upon their performance at the NA3EHL Showcase in Lockport, NY.
Offense: Braeden Pearl, Syracuse Stampede
Pearl (L’Orignal, Ontario, Canada) led the way for Syracuse Stampede scoring 5 goals & 6 assists for 11 points in 3 games. Braeden kicked off the weekend with 4 goals and 2 assists in a dominating individual performance vs. the East Coast Minutemen; a game the Stampede won 7-0. He had an assist in a 3-1 loss to the red-hot New England Stars. Braden put the team on his back again in a hard fought 6-5 shootout loss to the top team in the east, New Hampshire Fighting Spirit. He scored 1 goal and added 3 helpers to ensure the Stampede gained a point in the contest.
Defense: Brian Glover, New England Stars
Glover (Baldwinville, Massachusetts) was an offensive catalyst from his position on defense for the New England Stars as they took 6 points and 3 wins this past weekend. Glover scored 3 goals including the overtime game-winner vs. the Lockport Express on Sunday. Brian started off the weekend with a two goal performance in a 4-1 win vs. the Roc City Royals. He played a solid, steady, defensive job in the Stars 3-1 win over the Syracuse Stampede.
