The Southern Tier Xpress, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce the commitment of forward Brandon Desrosiers to NCAA Division III St. Olaf College.
Derosiers finished the 2014-15 season third in the league in scoring with 25 goals and 42 assists, good for 67 points. He also led the league in short handed goals and led the Xpress in goals, assists and points.
He was also named to the All-NA3HL 2nd team and the NA3HL All-North Division 1st team. In February, Desrosiers played for the East Division team at the 2015 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.
“I am very excited for Brandon as he is getting a great opportunity at St. Olaf. Coach Goldsworthy and I both feel Brandon will make an impact immediately. I want to thank Brandon for his efforts in Jamestown, he was a pleasure to coach and although we will miss him here, we are proud to say he was a part of the Xpress family," stated Xpress Head Coach Rylan Galiardi.
St. Olaf coach Sean Goldsworthy is excited about adding Brandon. "We are excited that Brandon has committed to St. Olaf College for 2015-16. After scouting Brandon at the NA3HL December Showcase in Blaine, we continued to see he had an outstanding year in Southern Tier with Coach Galiardi, as we project his size and speed to translate well to the college level."
“St Olaf offers me great opportunities to further my growth academically and athletically. The program ran by Coach Goldsworthy just made my decision easier and I am very excited to become an Ole. I would like to thank the community, staff, Coach Galiardi and the never ending support of the fans from Jamestown. Playing in front of 1200 fans every game was a memorable experience. The staff and coaches of Jamestown really went over the top day in and day out to give us all the tools to become successful and I am glad I was a part of it," said Brandon Desrosiers.
