The Billings Bulls of the North American 3 Hockey League are pleased to announce that defenseman Wolfgang Davis has committed to play ACHA hockey at McKendree University located in Lebanon Illinois.
Davis, who finished his second season playing for the Billings Bulls, will start classes this fall. In two seasons Davis compiled 1 goal, 12 assists and 28 penalty minutes.
“Choosing which college to go to was a hard but exciting process,” Davis said. “It’s an important life decision that I couldn’t take lightly. After visiting McKendree and talking with the coaches, students, teammates, I started learning more about what the school has to offer, I knew it was the right place for me.”
Billings Bulls Head Coach Michael Richardson says he could not be more proud of his player.
“We are all thrilled about Wolfgang getting a good opportunity to continue to play hockey, but more importantly, receiving a great education at McKendree University,” Richardson said. “It has been a thrill watching Wolfgang develop this year into the player he has become. All of his hard work and dedication is paying off.”
Davis said he is grateful for the opportunity the Billings Bulls provided for him.
“Playing in Billings was the experience of a life time,” Davis said. “I’m glad I had the opportunity to play for the Bulls, I wouldn’t have traded it for anything. I not only got better as a hockey player but I believe that the lessons I learned transferred into my everyday life.”
