The East Coast Minutemen of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Matt Moreschi, 20, has committed to play NCAA hockey at Post University, an NCAA Division II school.
The native of Malden, Massachusetts, tied for 2nd in scoring this season for the Minutemen with 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists) in 32 regular season games.
Moreschi (5’10/155) also was selected to and played for the NA3EHL East Division Prospects team that competed at the 2015 NA3HL Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota. In three games, Moreschi had a goal.
The Post University hockey team, who just completed its first season of NCAA Division II hockey, is coach by Pete Whitney.
“Matt came to us after the start of the season with the intent of leaving for Michigan to attend school and play ACHA at the start of the second semester. He quickly took on a top role for us and began to talk his parents into staying so he could work toward an NCAA opportunity. By the end of the season he had earned player of the month recognition, a trip to Blaine, Minnesota with the NA3EHL Top Prospects, and after many emails and phone calls to college coaches, four collehe opportunities. We look forward to following his success at Post University starting this fall,” stated Neil Liston, owner and general manager for the Minutemen.
