St. Louis forward Galaguzov signs NAHL tender
March 10, 2017

The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Ivan Galaguzov has signed an NAHL tender with the Springfield Jr. Blues for the 2017-18 season. The Jr. Blues compete in the NAHL’s Midwest Division.
A 5’10/165 lbs. native of Yekaterinburg, Russia, Galaguzov joined St. Louis this year after playing for Okanagan Hockey Academy in Austria last season. In his first year in American junior hockey, he has emerged as a key component of the Jr. Blues offense, scoring 22 goals and adding 42 assists in 42 games played.
“Ever since he arrived Stateside, Ivan’s been a huge asset to this team and our success this season,” said St. Louis head coach Chris Flaugher. “He’s got a great style of play, is a valued and incredible presence in the dressing room, and is always working hard off the ice on his fitness. We’re confident Springfield will be getting a quality player and person, and could not be happier to see him succeed.”
Galaguzov is the second St. Louis player to sign an NAHL tender this season, joining defenseman Trevor Wilhelm who was tendered by the Corpus Christi IceRays.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 6, 2017.
