The New England Stars of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Peter Menzies has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Framingham State University for the 2017-18 season.
Menzies, 20, is in his first and final season with the Stars in the NA3HL, coming from the Valley Junior Warriors last year. So far this season, Menzies (6’1/203) has registered 8 goals and 11 assists for 19 points in his 46 games played.
The native of Methuen, Massachusetts, has played in all three of New England’s playoff games to date.
Framingham State University is located just 20 miles west of Boston, offering students all the cultural and career benefits of a world class city. The University is situated on a beautiful, 78 acre, traditional New England campus in Framingham.
“Peter Menzies is a tireless worker and student of the game. He has improved significantly this year and is a fine example of a team player. He can play multiple situations and is well respected by his teammates. Coach Angers and his staff have found themselves a fierce competitor in Peter,” said Stars Head Coach Darryl Green.
