Cape Cod defenseman Moore makes NCAA commitment
April 24, 2017

The Cape Cod Islanders of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Dan Moore has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Becker College for the 2017-18 school year.
The 6’1/185 lbs. right hand shot defenseman from Stoney Point, New York scored 5 goals and added 21 assists in 22 games this season.
Moore rejoined the Islanders this season at the Blaine Showcase after a semester at Post University. He made an immediate impact in the line up and the locker room. His dynamic game and personality made it easy for his new teammates to accept him.
“I am so happy for Dan,” team president Dan Hodge said. “He’s a great young man and his faith in the organization got him this great opportunity. Like the rest of the guys who have made college commitments, Dan truly earned this, he and his family should be very proud. He never gave up on his goals and I’m so proud to say he played for my team.”
Moore will join teammates Aaron Deady and Chuck Costello at Becker College this fall. “I am very happy to announce that I am continuing my hockey career at Becker College,” Moore said. “I can’t thank coach Hodge and my teammates, over the past two seasons, enough for helping me realize my goal of playing college hockey. I am glad I put my trust in the team to get me this opportunity.”
Dan Moore now makes the 7th College Commitment (6 NCAA 1 ACHA) from the 2016-17 season.
