La Crosse goalie Graves makes NCAA commitment

The La Crosse Freeze of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that goaltender Will Graves has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of St. Thomas in the MIAC.
Graves, 20, is a three-year veteran of the Freeze in the NA3HL. The 6’0/175 lbs. native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is coming off his busiest season of his junior hockey career as he posted a 17-8-1 record in 27 regular season games in 2017-18, which included a 2.55 goals against average and a 91.6% save percentage.
Graves led the Freeze to the Central Division playoff title and a spot in the Fraser Cup Championship, where the team made it all the way to the Semi-Finals. Overall in the playoffs, Graves posted a 6-2-0 record with a 2.93 goals against average and a 91.3% save percentage.
“Will has represented the Freeze program to the highest level of excellence and we are excited for his commitment to the University of St. Thomas,” said Freeze head coach Jon Vaillancourt.
“We were very impressed with Will’s character. He loved our University and was excited about having the opportunity to be a contributor to our hockey family. There is a huge upside to Will's game and were excited to see what he can do on the rink,” said Jeff Boeser, Head Men's Hockey Coach for the University of St. Thomas.
