Peoria defenseman Finley gets call to NAHL

The Peoria Mustangs of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Blake Finley has been called up to the North American Hockey League (NAHL) to play for the Springfield Jr. Blues this weekend.

 

Finley, 19, who is his third season with the Mustangs, has established himself as the top defenseman on the team and one of the more notable defensemen in the NA3HL.

 

The 6’0/175 lbs. native of Peoria, Illinois is captain of the team this season.  So far this season, he has recored 24 points (6 goals, 18 assists) in 24 games played. 

 

Finley was selected to and played in the 2018 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament where he played on the Selects Red team.

 

Overall in his three-year NA3HL career, he has played in 116 career games and recorded 67 points.

 

He played his youth hockey in the Peoria Youth Hockey Association.
