December 24, 2018

The Mid-Cities Jr. Stars of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Blake Campbell has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Corpus Christi IceRays of the NA3HL’s South Division.
Campbell, 18, is in his second season playing in the NA3HL for the Stars. The 6’3/185 lbs. native of Keller, Texas, is off to a great start this season with 18 points (4 goals, 14 assists) in his first 26 games played.
Last season, Campbell appeared in 40 games and had nine points.
Prior to playing the in NA3HL for Mid-Cities, Campbell played for Keller High School, the Texas Jr. Brahmas 16U team and the Dallas Stars 15U team.
“As a staff and organization we are both proud of and excited for Blake. Blake is a prime example of what can happen when you show up to the rink everyday and give 100% of your efforts to both on and off the ice,” said Ben Osborne, Assistant coach and GM of the Mid-Cities Jr. Stars.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 4, 2019.
