Bulls, Chill, Warriors move on to division finals

The Amarillo Bulls, Coulee Region Chill and Michigan Warriors advanced to the divisional finals of the Robertson Cup Playoffs after winning their respective best-of-five semifinals series on Saturday.
The Bulls downed the Texas Tornado, 2-1, in overtime in Game 4 of their South Division semifinals to win the series, 3-games-to-1. Forward Cody Freeman scored the game-winner in the extra session for Amarillo, and goaltender Nikifor Szczerba made 34 saves.
Forward Berkley Scott (goal, assist) and defenseman Mike McDonald (two assists) each fashioned two-point nights as the Chill bested the Owatonna Express, 3-1, in Game 4 of their semifinals. Goaltender Aaron Davis made 25 saves as the Chill won the series, 3-games-to-1.
Goaltender Robert Tadazak stopped all 24 shots he faced as the Warriors blanked the Traverse City North Stars, 5-0, in Game 4 of their North Division semifinals to win the series, 3-games-to-1. Forward A.J. White connected for two goals and an assist in the triumph.
The other teams to advance to the division finals are the West's Fairbanks Ice Dogs and Wenatchee Wild.
The three other divisional semifinals series are tied at 2-2: the Central's Bismarck Bobcats and Alexandria Blizzard (Game 5 schedule for Monday); North's St. Louis Bandits and Janesville Jets (Sunday); and South's Topeka RoadRunners and Wichita Falls Wildcats (Monday).
