Wild and Generals win on Wednesday

Ryoto Inukai had the game-winning goal for Maine in a 5-2 win on Wednesday.
NE Stars 2 @ Maine 5 – Wild goalie Tom Spero made 57 saves to lead his club to a 5-2 home win over the visiting Stars on Wednesday. Maine got off to a strong start, scoring three goals in the 1st period from Andrew Bertolini, AJ Albanese, and the eventual game-winner from Ryoto Inukai. The Stars countered with a goal from Nate Glynn. In the 3rd period, the Stars cut the lead to within one as Corey Tumenas scored, but a pair of goals from Dalton McAnn would secure the 5-2 win. Stars goalie Ben Monsivais made 19 saves in the loss.
Northeast 11 @ NE Knights 5 – Generals forward Ryan Reifler had a hat-trick and three assists to lead the Generals to an 11-5 win over the Knights on Wednesday. It was all Generals from the start as they opened up leads of 3-2 and 7-1 and never looked back. Reifler, Nick Wracker, and Stephen Gerbis all scored in the 1st period. Reifler would score twice more in the 2nd period along with a goal from Kolye Bankauskas to make it 7-1. The Generals added five more goals in the 3rd period as Bankauskas, Gerbis, and Wracker all scored again and Samuel Rychvalsky and Carson Asper also scored. The Knights got two goals from Kyle Madigan, and others from Martin Dlugolinsky, Chase Lapworth, and Devin Butler. Justin Simmons made 19 saves in the win, while Patrick Gribbin made 55 saves in the loss.
