NA3HL announces Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending March 8, 2020. The divisional stars of the week are awards given each week of the regular season to the top-performing players in each of the six divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.
Central Division Star of the Week: Porter Haney, F, Rochester Grizzlies
Haney and the Grizzlies swept a three-game set over the weekend, dropping St. Louis twice and Alexandria once, thanks in large part to Haney’s five points in that span. The 5-foot-7 Duluth, MN native bagged a goal and two helpers on Friday, then followed up with an assist in each of the next two games. Haney finished the season with 16g-31a—47pts in 37 games.

Coastal Division Star of the Week: Kolye Bankauskas , F, Northeast Generals
Bankauskas closed out his incredible campaign with a flourish, etching his name in NA3HL history as he set a new record for goals in a season with 69 after a five-goal weekend. The forward actually broke the record with his 68th strike on Friday night, which was his fourth goal of the game in a 9-2 win over Skylands. Another goal and an assist on Sunday saw him boost his league-leading point totals to 69g-69a—138pts this season.

Frontier Division Star of the Week: None (Playoff Games)
Northeast Division Star of the Week: James Clarke, F, Skylands Kings
Clarke’s goal-scoring prowess was on display last weekend, as he bagged six in three games for the Kings. With one marker on Friday, a hat-trick — his fourth of the season — on Saturday and another pair on Sunday, Clarke finished a remarkable season as the Kings’ leader in both goals and points with 47 and 87, respectively. He enters the Fraser Cup Playoffs on an astounding 17-game point streak and perhaps and even more impressive 11-game goal streak.

South Division Star of the Week: Blake Elliott, F, Texas RoadRunners
After being held off the scoresheet for six straight games, Elliott erupted for six points in a three-game set last week, logging 2g-4a and helping the RoadRunners to a win in their last game of the year. Elliott opened with a pair of assists on Friday and a goal and an assist on Saturday against Louisiana, then potted another one of each in Sunday’s victory over Mid Cities. He finished his campaign with 8g-13a—21pts for Texas.

West Division Star of the Week: Austin McNeil, F, Alexandria Blizzard
McNeil logged a whopping 10 points in three games to help the Blizzard into the Fraser Cup Playoffs on a hot streak as they topped Coulee Region twice and took the high-flying Grizzlies to OT. The Minnesota native bagged a hat-trick — his third of the season and second in six games — on Friday, two goals and an assist on Saturday, and finally capped things off with a dynamite 1g-3a—4pts game against Rochester. McNeil finished the season with 23g-17a—40pts in 42 games.
