Granite City forward Dahlheimer signs NAHL tender

The Granite City Lumberjacks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Wilson Dahlheimer has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Anchorage Wolverines of the NAHL’s Midwest Division.
Dahlheimer, 18, had his first experience of playing junior hockey in the NA3HL this season earlier in the 2021-22 campaign with the Lumberjacks. The 5’9/165 lbs. native of Monticello, MN, made his debut on September 17, 2021, and scored a goal in his first game.
After that, he ended up recording 8 points in 12 games played from September to mid-November.
He then headed back to play high school hockey in Minnesota for the Monticello Moose who made it all the way to the Class A State Tournament this season. This season with the Moose, he posted 24 goals and 26 assists for 50 points in 30 games played. He surpassed the 100-career point mark for Monticello HS this season.
“We are extremely excited for Wilson. He deserves this opportunity. He has all the tools to make an impact at the next level. We look forward to watching his success next year with a great program in Anchorage,” said Granite City Associate Head Coach DJ Vold.
Dahlheimer is the 11th Jack to have some sort of advancement this season. The Jacks have moved up 6 players to the NAHL this year and now have had 5 members sign in the NAHL.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2022 NAHL Draft.
