Danbury tops New Jersey on Wednesday, 2-1
Roman Winicki had the game-winning goal and an assist to lead Danbury to a 2-1 win in New Jersey on Wednesday.
Danbury 2 @ New Jersey 1 – Two second period goals fueled the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks to a 2-1 road win in New Jersey in the lone NA3HL game on Wednesday.
New Jersey took a 1-0 lead in the 1st period on the strength of a goal from Payton Forbes with assists to Dante DeBlueris and George Hinds.
In the 2nd period, the Jr. Hat Tricks seized control with two goals. The first came from Antonio Felidi with an assist to Roman Winicki. The second and eventual game-winner came just over three minutes later as Winicki struck for his first goal of the season, which was unassisted.
Ryan Maguire stopped 36 of 37 shots in the win, while Antonio Vaccaro made 24 saves in the loss.
