Alexandria, Danbury, and Northeast win on Wednesday
Minnesota 2 @ Alexandria 6 – The Blizzard moved their record to 5-1-1 on the season thanks to a hat-trick from Cole Klingbeil in a 6-2 win over the Loons. Alexandria opened up a 4-0 lead with 1st period goals from Jack Carter, Caleb Moore, and Justin Wasvick. Klingbeil would then add the last three for the Blizzard in 2nd and 3rd periods. Blake Keller and Willem Kerr had the goals for the Loons. Alex Lamont made 19 saves in the win, while Axel Rosenlund made 30 saves in the loss.
Bay State 2 @ Northeast 3 – Despite a 65-15 shots advantage, it took two 3rd period goals for the Generals to come from behind and beat the Bobcats, 3-2. Caiden Hess scored twice for Northeast, including the game’s opening goal in the 1st period. The Bobcats had an answer as they took a 2-1 lead through two period with goals from William Jasmin and Ryan Janik. In the 3rd period, the Generals came from behind with goals from Matthew Nuzzolilo and the second of the game from Hess to complete the 3-2 win. Luke Fundator made 13 saves in the win, while Bobcats goalie Jacob King was stellar in the loss with 62 saves.
Danbury 6 @ New Jersey 1 – Six different players scored for Danbury and Ryan Maguire made 37 saves as the Jr. Hat Tricks cruised past the Titans thanks to a 6-1 win. It was all Danbury from the starts as the led 2-0 after the 1st period with goals from Roman Winicki and Antonio Felidi. Denis Radchenko scored in the 2nd period to make it 3-0, and then Dominic Powilitas, Lou Caulfield, and Tyler Christian all would score in the 3rd period. Antonio Vidal would end up scoring the lone goal for the Titans. Daniel Antal made 30 saves in the loss.
