Power forward Toomey makes NCAA commitment
The Milwaukee Power is proud to announce that Top Prospects forward Patrick Toomey has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at the University of Dubuque.
Toomey, 21, led the Power in scoring during the 2022-23 season with 32 goals and 32 assists for 64 points. He was also selected to and played in the 2023 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Central Division team, recording one goal in two games.
He was also named to the All-NA3HL 2nd Team and the NA3HL All-Central Division team for the 2022-23 season.
“I would like to thank the coaches, players, staff, and every member of the Power organization who played a role in helping me reach this point. Your guidance, support, and dedication have been invaluable to my journey. I am grateful to the families who welcomed me with open arms and made Milwaukee feel like home from the moment I arrived. Being a part of the Power has been an incredible experience, and none of my accomplishments would have been possible without the support and effort of each and every one of you,” said Toomey.
During the 2021-22 season, Toomey spent time with the Power in the NA3HL and also made his NAHL debut with the Jamestown Rebels. While with the Power, he appeared in 13 games and had 11 points.
“This organization takes great pride in moving a player of his caliber to the next level. It was a pleasure working with him on and off the ice. His natural skill combined with the humility to get better each day will make him a success on and off the ice at Dubuque. We wish him and his family the best in their future endeavors,” said Milwaukee Power Head Coach, John Mitchell.
