The game was a goaltending duel through two scoreless periods. The Lumberjacks then struck for two goals in the 3rd period as Easton Portner scored his 8th goal of the season with an assist to Jake Lange to make it a 1-0 contest midway through the 3rd period. Late in the 3rd period, Jack Louko would add an empty-net goal to make it a 2-0 final.
Loons goalie Steven Kelley was stellar in net in the losing effort, stopping 46 of 47 shots on goal.
