Americans forward Lang makes ACHA Commitment

April 4, 2025

The Great Falls Americans of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward John Lang has committed to play ACHA DI hockey for University of Mary.

Lang, 20, concluded his junior career with the NA3HL's Americans, appearing in 43 games for Great Falls. The Fargo, ND native had a great season under Head Coach Greg Sears, averaging 1.14 points per game with a total of 49 points (20 goals, 29 assists).

His standout performance came in November, when he played a pivotal role in leading the team to a weekend sweep, taking down the Butte Irish and Bozeman Ice Dogs. Over the course of the series, Lang accumulated an impressive seven points, including a standout four-point game against the Irish, where he scored a hat trick and added an assist. Notably, he also netted the game-winning goal in both matches, helping secure the victories for his team.

Lang is one of three players from the Americans to make a college commitment this season.
