The New Mexico Ice Wolves of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that goaltender Ryan Wallin has committed to play college hockey for Utah State University.
Wallin, 20, appeared in 36 games in the NA3HL, spending the 2024-25 season with the New Mexico Ice Wolves. The Ham Lake, MN native was outstanding between the pipes, finishing the season with a 24-3-1-1 record and playing a key role in the Ice Wolves’ Fraser Cup playoff run. Known for his consistency, Wallin posted two impressive win streaks, one of seven straight and another of eight, while maintaining a 1.85 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage throughout the year.
In addition to recording three shutouts, his standout performance came at the NA3HL Showcase, where he stopped 28 of 29 shots in a tightly contested 2-1 win over the Alexandria Blizzard. In that game, the ‘04 netminder was a difference-maker on the penalty kill, holding the Blizzard to just one power-play goal on nine opportunities.
Wallin is one of two players from the Ice Wolves to make a college commitment this season.
