Ice Bats forward Edlund makes college commitment

The Austin Ice Bats of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Connor Edlund has committed to play college hockey for Waldorf University.
Edlund, 21, is a native of Maple Grove, Minnesota, and wrapped up his junior hockey career with the Austin Ice Bats in the NA3HL’s South Division. As an age-out forward, he notched two goals during the season, both coming in key wins against the El Paso Rhinos and the Atlanta Capitals. In a pivotal 4-2 victory over the Rhinos, Edlund delivered a clutch performance, netting the game-tying goal less than three minutes into the third period, helping swing the momentum in Austin’s favor.
Edlund now joins Waldorf University, a program with a strong tradition of recruiting from the NA3HL ranks. Located in Forest City, Iowa, Waldorf has built a reputation for helping NA3HL alumni transition to the college level, both academically and athletically.
He is one of four players from the Ice Bats to make a college commitment this season.
