Sharks goaltender England makes college commitment

The Long Beach Sharks of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that goaltender Turner England has committed to play college hockey for Western Michigan.
At 19 years old, England completed his rookie season of junior hockey with the Long Beach Sharks, suiting up for 22 games in net as an '06. Hailing from Troy, MI, he posted a 5-10-4 record while maintaining a .920 save percentage. One of his standout performances came on September 21, when he backstopped the Sharks to a commanding 4-0 shutout victory over the Maine Nordiques. England turned aside all 37 shots he faced in the game and helped neutralize Maine’s power play, holding them scoreless on three opportunities.
England is one of four players to make a college commitment this season from the Sharks.
