Bighorns Assistant Captain Chadwick makes college commitment

The Helena Bighorns of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that Assistant Captain Kelton Chadwick has committed to play college hockey for Arizona State University.
Chadwick, 20, is returning to his home state of Arizona this fall to join the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Phoenix native spent the past two seasons in Helena under Head Coach Damon Hanson, appearing in 98 games and helping the Bighorns capture the 2024 Fraser Cup.
Over his junior career, the 6’0” defenseman totaled 61 points (6 goals, 55 assists), with 34 of those coming during the 2024–25 season. Two standout performances from Chadwick highlight his playmaking ability. On November 1st, during a 9–5 win over the Gillette Wild, he recorded a career-high four assists. Later, in a key playoff matchup against the Great Falls Americans, he delivered a clutch performance, scoring the game-winning goal and adding two assists during the Bighorns’ 4–1 victory.
Like fellow blueliner Hunter Coulombe, Chadwick's steady presence on the back end earned him a spot in the 2025 Top Prospects Tournament, showcasing his impact throughout the season.
Before joining the junior ranks, Chadwick developed in the NAPHL with the Arizona Bobcats, where he played 79 games over four seasons at the 15U, 16U, and 18U levels.
Coulombe is the third player from the Bighorns to make a college commitment this season.
